Bareun Cloud Service

Bareun is also available as a cloud service.

If the morphological analyzer is hard to install, or you have no machine to install it on, you can use the API through the cloud service instead.

The Bareun spell checker is offered only as a cloud service. It can technically be installed, but as a rule we support on-premises installation only for customers who need to run it on a closed (air-gapped) network.

To use the cloud service, every API is served from "api.bareun.ai:443".

• The host is api.bareun.ai.
• The port is 443.

The cloud service scales its capacity automatically with usage, so there are no practical limits on how much you can use.

Frequent feature updates

Releases of the installable version are infrequent. Bareun has typically shipped 3 to 4 releases a year. The cloud service, however, gets each feature as soon as it is finalized and confirmed stable. New features and bug fixes therefore go live without any separate notice to users.

Updates are rolled out with zero downtime, so the service stays available while it is being updated.

TLS

The service uses port 443, so your requests are protected by TLS while they travel over the internet.

Paid service

The cloud service runs on rented Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, which has a cost. That cost is why the service is paid.

For the morphological analyzer, the cloud service is a much cheaper option than renting and installing your own cloud servers.

Research use

Even so, when your use is confirmed as "research", we allow free use for the duration of the "research period". To get approval for research use, submit an application through a separate form, and free access will be opened for the designated period.
