Quick install

The downloaded file has a .deb extension. The file name is bareun-v3.4.0.linux-x86_64.deb.

# Get the latest version.
curl -OLJs -H "uname:$(uname -a)" https://bareun.ai/api/get
# The version name may change.
sudo apt install ./bareun-v3.4.0.linux-x86_64.deb

The commands above install it.

Verify the installation

After installation, the service starts automatically. To check that it was installed and the service is running properly, enter the following command.

$ systemctl status bareun
● bareun.service - Bareun
     Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/bareun.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled)
     Active: active (running) since Tue 2023-02-07 09:43:12 KST; 7s ago
   Main PID: 1948365 (bareun)

Installation location

The Linux version of Bareun is installed in /opt/bareun.

Log files are created in the /opt/bareun/var/logs directory. The log file is named bareun.log.

API key management

Bareun includes commands for managing API keys.

/opt/bareun/bin/bareun -h 

Usage of /opt/bareun/bin/bareun:
  -cmd string
        Command to execute: print, prune.
  -keys
        Print API KEY status.
  -reg string
        Register this bareun with the API KEY.
  -unreg string
        Unregister previous API KEY.

Admin web and help

If you go to http://localhost:5656/ or http://YOUR-IP:5656/, you can see the admin web page.

Be careful, because no separate administrator authentication is performed.
